📥 Installation

The SkyCaster Rendering Client is a desktop application that renders and streams weather map videos. It uses a headless browser to capture your map configurations and FFmpeg (bundled) to encode the output.

FFmpeg is bundled — you do not need to install FFmpeg separately.

🖥️ Installing the App

Download and install the desktop application for your platform:

• macOS — .dmg installer (Intel + Apple Silicon)
• Windows — .exe NSIS installer

After installation, a skycaster CLI command is registered system-wide:

• macOS: /usr/local/bin/skycaster
• Windows: %ProgramFiles%\SkyCaster Rendering Client\skycaster.cmd

Verify the installation:

skycaster --help
